Designer Sign Systems began
in 1990
Offering signage for Hotels and Office Buildings in the tri-county area of Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
We grew the business geographically to complete projects throughout the State of Florida and the Caribbean Islands.
We offer installation of signage to all parts of the United States while many times being involved with Corporate Identity Programs that are designed, manufactured and installed both here in the U.S. and Canada.
At Designer Sign Systems we take pride in our ability to provide
a comprehensive approach to your signage needs.
We offer early budget analysis and take offs from your building or facility plans, then when the project is nearing completion. There are less problems associated with lack of planning.
We are keenly aware of the details of code requirements; both locally and nationally. The federal ADA guidelines are implemented throughout the planning /design phase of the projects.
This allows for a smooth transition towards obtaining a temporary certificate of occupancy. We use Project Managers to follow thru with the complete project – start to finish.
Our interior plaque products are manufactured in house with our state of the art equipment. This production capability allows us total control of the timely delivery of your products that are Made in USA.
Samples for approval can be generated quickly, as to expedite the approval process accordingly.
Our in house engineering department also brings quick and efficient design solutions in dealing with South Florida high wind calculations on exterior signage products.
We also offer an in house permit procurement process; to make sure all exterior products are built in unison with all local code requirements.
Architectural and community appearance board representation is also part or our comprehensive – turnkey approach to your signage needs.
Paul R. Pierson is the president of Designer Sign Systems and brings over 35 years of sign making experience to the company.
Presidents Background
He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. His interest in signage and graphics began while in High School, with a small screen printing operation.
He studied art, both painting and print making while at the Univerity of Alaska – Fairbanks.
He lived and worked in Honolulu Hawaii at a local sign ship learning “old school” hand painting & fabrication techniques. After Hawaii he moved to Baltimore Maryland to further his screen printing knowledge.
The beginning stages of Designer Sign Systems in Florida were challenging but rewarding as he continually sought out improved ways thru technology to broaden the available product line at Designer Sign Systems.
The current staff employed at Designer Sign Systems is a cross section of people both young and mature that offer a consistency towards intelligence and quality when it comes to manufacturing your signage products.
